Lou Aversano, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, The Cigna Group

Lou Aversano is the Chief Brand and Marketing Officer at The Cigna Group. In this role, Lou is accountable for the leadership and strategic impact of the Marketing function. Lou joined Cigna in February 2021 with more than three decades of experience developing successful brand strategies that deliver growth, competitive differentiation, and connection to a company’s purpose. Prior to becoming Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, Lou served as SVP and Global Chief Brand Officer overseeing the strategy and governance of Cigna’s brand system, including the planning, execution, and measurement of brand experiences, campaigns, and sponsorships. He also led the market insights function and internal creative agency.

Prior to Cigna, Lou spent 26 years at Ogilvy Worldwide, where he held various leadership roles and developed programs for well-known global B2B and B2C brands across different industries. Lou serves as a board member of the Ad Council, American Red Cross, Questrom School of Business at Boston University, and Out Leadership. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from Boston University and lives in New York City.

John brockelman

John Brockelman, Chief Marketing Officer, State Street Global Advisors

John Brockelman is Chief Marketing Officer for State Street Global Advisors, the fourth largest asset manager in the world. He is responsible for all aspects of marketing for the firm, including data and analytics, institutional and advisor channel marketing, brand and advertising, investment content, digital, communications, and social media. John is also a member of the Executive Management Group, the company’s most senior strategy and policy-making team. He joined State Street in 2015 and previously served as Global Head of Brand Marketing & Communications.

Under his leadership, his team successfully rebranded the firm and has been recognized for marketing excellence, including multiple Cannes Lions Grand Prix, Clio, and Effie awards. In 2020 he was named Marketer of the Year by the Financial Communications Society. 

Prior to State Street, John held several marketing and communications roles at Fidelity Investments where he most recently led corporate affairs, executive communications, and corporate marketing communications teams.

David Carrel, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Thomson Reuters

As the Chief Marketing Officer for Thomson Reuters, David is responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy to grow Thomson Reuters’ business globally and strengthen the Thomson Reuters brand, and all marketing activities.

Prior to Thomson Reuters, David was VP of Marketing at Adobe, Digital Experience Cloud, responsible for all Adobe Experience Cloud (AEC) products. Before that, David worked at Amazon in multiple marketing and product roles, including Director of Global Growth & Demand for AWS, and as the Director of Global Prime Member Growth for Amazon Prime. David held growth marketing roles at Digitas (part of Publicis) and at IBM. David started his career in start-ups and eCommerce. He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Marketing & Strategy from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. David lives in Seattle, with his wife and three daughters.

Karen Feldman, SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Iron Mountain

Karen Feldman is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Iron Mountain, leading the Global Marketing function with responsibility for enterprise-level brand and marketing initiatives. She joined Iron Mountain after a distinguished 26-year career at IBM, where she held various strategy and marketing roles, most recently serving as Chief Marketing Officer for IBM Consulting. A passionate storyteller, Karen has a strong track record of developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies that drive business growth. She holds degrees from Emory University and NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Sunil Polepalli, Head of Partnerships for North America, Iron Mountain

Sunil Polepalli is the Head of Partnerships for North America at Iron Mountain’s Digital Business Unit. He leads the Partnerships team, focusing on joint innovation with Cloud Partners and go-to-market initiatives with Cloud, SI & ISV partners. Sunil’s previous leadership roles include positions at Yext, Amazon Web Services, Commvault, Symantec/Veritas, and HP.

Throughout his career, he has successfully built and expanded global partnerships while pioneering solutions to address complex data management challenges. Sunil holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas.  In his personal time, Sunil enjoys supporting his two sons’ pre-college pursuits, traveling with his family, and experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes.
